Eco vilage Hyde Park anyone?…lol

Sent to me by a reader is the following, it is time to take back our land, our rights, our freedoms, will you stand up for it….

Following the events of Monday the 7th, and resulting call to action from Charlie Veitch and others – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO9JHgttoUo&feature=player_embedded – it seems the perfect time to reclaim the land for the people.
Dom has being going around the county talking to people about land-claims and an up-coming call to action once an appropriate piece of land has been identified. Well, that’s happened and the land has been chosen – Hyde Park in London on the 26th March to coincide 2with the TUC march scheduled to take place that day, and with the actions of the resistance which will also take place that day.
The land claim will be a peaceful and honorable action, although it is to be expected that the so called ‘authorities’ will do all they can to generate violence (don;t fall for it! Don;t give them your energy).

Once the land has been claimed only those of you who want to live full time in an eco village, build benders, etc, will be asked to stay. We need numbers for the initial claim – people prepared to stand up for our unalienable rights and to camp out for a couple of nights are what we need for the land calim, and, of course as many as possible to stay on and make Hyde Park their home for as long as this here piece of string.

We’re not asking you to agree to attend, but simple to click ‘maybe’ so that you can share this page with ALL your friends!! – Click attend if you want, but this page isn’t about that, it’s about getting the word out.

Ironically I myself wont be able to be there due to other commitments, but I’ll be down to visit just as soon as I can!

Dom, can you please agree to attend so that I can make you admin and you can edit this in any way you see fit. ;p

With much love, solidarity, respect and gratitude to all of you prepared to stand up for the good of us all!!

A tiny bit of the history of hyde park – I”n 1536, Henry VIII acquired the manor of Hyde from the canons of Westminster Abbey, who had held it since before the Norman Conquest;[4] it was enclosed as a deer park and remained a private hunting ground until James I permitted limited …access to gentlefolk, appointing a ranger to take charge. Charles I created the Ring (north of the present Serpentine boathouses), and in 1637 he opened the park to the general public.

In 1689, when William III moved his habitation to Kensington Palace on the far side of Hyde Park, he had a drive laid out across its south edge, formerly known as “The King’s Private Road”, which still exists as a wide straight gravelled carriage track leading west from Hyde Park Corner across the south boundary of Hyde Park towards Kensington Palace. The drive is now known as Rotten Row, possibly a corruption of rotteran (to muster),[5] Ratten Row (roundabout way), Route du roi or rotten (the soft material with which the road is covered).[6] Public transport entering London from the west paralleled the King’s private road along Kensington Gore, just outside the park. In the late 1800s, the row was used by the wealthy for horseback rides.[7]” etc…. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyde_Park,_London
